Oak
                    Island
The mystery of oak Island begun 1795 when a 16 year old boy was out fishing on the island.
When he walked across it he found a clearing, and on it there was an old oak that had
some strange marks. And beneath it there was a depression, about 4.8 m in diameters.
Because of the pirate tales he had heard when he was a child.
He believed that it was a buried pirate treasure there.Cos' he thought that the marks on the oak,
came from some kind of makeshift crane. And the depression was the top of a treasure pit.
He went back to the mainland, to talk to his friends about the discovery.
They returned to the island whit picks and shovels and began to dig.
At 1.2 m they found flagstones and at 3, 6 and 9 m there was packed logs
But unfortunately no treasure. So, the returned home
But they promised each other that they would return.
Later one they returned and begun to dig again and one the way to about 27 m.
They found 3 oak platforms with coconut fibre and putty,1 with just oak and so on
At 27.4 m they found a stone with an inscription translated to:

“Forty Feet Below Two Million Pounds Are Buried”

But the odd thing with the stone is that it wasn’t from the island and that part of Canada
But the stone is lost. So it’s hard to know if the translation is right
and if the stone really exists (just my own reflection on the matter).

Over the years they have been many attempts to find the treasure, in the so cald “Money Pit”
But they have all failed. One of the problems is that there is some kind of tunnel system.
That floods the pit with seawater.

That’s how the mystery of Oak Island at the eastern coast of
Nova Scotia, in Canada begun.
Some says it’s a pirate treasure other that the Holy Grail is buried there.
But no one has ever found out what’s underneath.
